Together with industry, the Forest Industry Engineering Association (FIEA) will be communicating much more regularly with harvesting contractors, harvest planners, wood transport operators, forestry managers, forest owners and equipment and technology providers across New Zealand and Australia. This is the first of future monthly updates that will be provided to you – free of charge.
Because of the huge support and feedback from contractors during and after the recent HarvestTECH 2019 event, future FIEA Events on harvesting, log scaling, log segregation and loading, wood transport, logistics and data management across the wood supply chain will be run under the umbrella of the HarvestTECH brand.
In addition, the HarvestTECH platform will be used to provide monthly communication to those involved in wood harvesting or getting the wood from the forest to the port or the processing plant. Updates on breaking news, research results, reports, videos, information on new technology and equipment, reports on smart operating practices and links which we hope you’ll find useful will be provided – at no cost to you – the reader.
It’s intended to provide more regular communication between major tech events and to complement the excellent monthly industry magazines already being produced for those working within the forest. At this early stage, if you’ve expressed an interest in wood harvesting, wood transport or logistics through your attendance at recent FIEA events or you’ve highlighted to us your interest in these topics, we’ve added you to this new community.
